Magnesium Carbonate in Industrial
It is basic hydrated magnesium carbonate or normal hydrated magnesium carbonate. Due to the different conditions during crystallization, the product is divided into light and heavy, generally light. It is trihydrate salt at room temperature. Light as a white brittle lump or loose white powder. Odorless. Stable in air. Heated to 700 °C to release carbon dioxide and generate magnesium oxide. Almost insoluble in water, but causes a slight alkaline reaction in water. Insoluble in ethanol, can be dissolved and foamed by dilute acid.
