Magnesium oxide for your glass production

Magnesium oxide can be optionally added to the formulation to adjust the coefficient of friction to the desired level, and its thermal properties provide good stability and allow heat transfer from the frictional contact surfaces. Not only that, the high refractory properties of magnesia give strong resistance to high friction temperatures while maintaining grip. In addition, the moderate hardness of magnesium oxide prevents wear of the material against the metal.

Applications in Glass Fibers

Magnesium oxide grades required for glass production have specific properties and are used to produce liquid crystal display (LCD) substrates in electronic devices such as smartphone, tablet, computer or TV screens. This magnesia is often used to replace dolomite as a source of magnesia for the production of special glasses to improve mechanical strength, enabling selection of the best grade of magnesia to bring high performance to glass applications.
